friday is the most slack day in my timetable all this while.. lessons end at 10.50am.. maybe 2.10pm due to extra economics lessons.. went to the court with dodo and adri to shoot some hoops.. mr sim appeared and apparently challenged me to a shootout.. with some luck, i manage to win 5 bowls of ice kachang from him! woots.. i thought he would only be owing me but he called me instead and gave me a 10-dollar note! "na! 5 bowls, then return me the change".. wow.. can you actually believe mr sim did that? i can't, but it actually happened! haha..
after that was extra lessons for economics.. ended at 2.10pm.. had originally decided to hang out but apparently, singapore's table tennis women's team was about to engage in a fierce and exciting battle with korea's table tennis women team.. kudos to singapore for winning the semi-finals anyway.. it's been 48 years and the dream is finally fulfilled at last.. watched the entire match that laste nearly 4 hours at opposite's kopitiam.. the atmosphere was very funny due to the uncles' analysis and comments for every situation that happens in the game.. and the audience were very high too! (especially those from my class, haha.. and yes, we sat there the longest!) singapore could have won very early but just couldn't take further advantage of the lead.. however, the korean team must also be credited for their efforts as they proved to be formidable opponents for the singapore team..
Game 1:
Singapore drew first blood winning 3-0 against Korea..
Game 2: Korean leveled up with a fierce and victorious battle against Lee Jia Wei and triumphed 3 sets to 2..
Game 3:
Singapore's doubles seemed too strong for Korea, thumping them 3-0 and regains the 2-1 lead..
Game 4: Not giving up hope and giving all the best, Korea stunned Singapore by leveling the series with a stunning 3-0 victory..
Game 5: Singapore's dream of a medal came true after a hard fought battle that
Singapore outlasted Korea 3-1..
48 years, it's really a very long period of time.. once again, congratulations to team singapore! i was very happy with the results but my mum apparently disagreed with that.. she really hoped singapore will lose because they were all based in china after all and they get loads of money for winning that medal.. money given to non-singaporeans, that's what she thinks.. i'm alright with it though.. but can't deny the fact that a medal was actually won for singapore after so long, something to rejoice about..
feeling so happy and high, i self-declared a holiday today and met adri at e!hub to play the arcade.. me and my basketball shooting machine and he with his taiko machine.. my aim was to break 700 and his goal was to pass the hardest song.. apparently, only i achieved what we had each actually aimed for.. it took me 8 trys though.. i had one on my 5th try a 698, super close but i couldn't hold onto it.. but it was fun.. the crowd behind me makes it even more fun.. adri also drew quite some attention with his skills.. all the songs were like so simple to him-.- but too bad, the hardest song just caught him.. lolx @ adri! then went home an reached at around 12am.. hope to mug full day tomorrow because today is wasted and please let time be on my side..
